Description
KTMK (KANSANTURVAMUSIIKKIKOMISSIO) “666” LP (Barabbas Records, 1985)
FINNISH ULTRA-HC RARITY on Barabbas Records (same label as early 80s LPs by KAAOS and TERVEET KADET)! This band never really got their due back in the 1980s because they didn’t fit into the stereotypical Finnish sound. But to me, they’re even better – a mix between the raw HC raving of TERVEET KADET or SEKUNDA and the jazz damaged HC-punk blasts of I REFUSE IT!, CCM or even THE MINUTEMEN! It sounds like a crazy mix, but listen to the soundclip below (FULL SONG!) and decide for yourself:

It’s a very unique sound for Finland, but to me still in the raw HC tradition established by RATTUS, TERVEET KADET, KAAOS, etc.
The record comes with two inserts: One with Finnish lyrics, the other with English translations. The lyrics are also really weird stream-of-consciousness style, but it fits the band well. Kansanturvamusikkikomissio, by the way, means “Safety Music Dance Committee”. What deranged people!
Condition: As you can hear from the mp3, there is a little bit of surface noise and pops. The record could use a good cleaning to remove 20+ years of dust, but there are no major problems with it. It is VG+, if not better. The sleeve is also VG+ with a little bit of storage-related wear, including the start of a seam split on the left side. If the record is properly stored, it will not happen. I will ship the LP outside of the sleeve to insure that you receive it in the same condition that I send it in. The inserts are EX.
Terms (You are agreeing to these by bidding; If you cannot agree, please do not bid): Payment is due by Paypal within three (3) days. Buyer pays shipping and any requested services (insurance, tracking, etc. Please let me know if you need these so that I can add them to the invoice). The $4 shipping quote above is for U.S.A. bidders only – if you are outside of the U.S.A., please wait for an invoice from me because $4 is not the correct shipping total for you. Your item will be shipped within seven (7) days of receiving cleared payment. If that is too long to wait, please do not bid.
