Description

This is part of a large auction featuring R&B, doo-wop and blues singles from several small independent labels of the 1950's/early 60's.

Release: Tarheel Slim & Little Ann

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1959


Notes: White label first pressing on the small Fire label. Slim, also known as Allen Bunn, was an obscure New York City bluesman. This is the first of the singles he released with Little Ann. It's another subtle, slow burn that crescendos up. Very good stuff. 


Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in great shape with basically no wear, just a couple of feint hairlines. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels are clean and nice with no scuffing or tears, but does have a small pencil X to indicate plug side. Top notch copy overall.


Sleeve Condition: VG, outer sleeve is blank, but I believe original. Has some minor wrinkling and a small pencil number. No tears/splits/writing. 


All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in late-January for a rock 'n roll/rockabilly auction and a very cool selection of 78's after that.
