Description
This lot contains five single-sided 10-inch 78 RPM records, all by Alma Gluck and all on the Victor or Victrola Red Seal "Patents" label. All five are shown in the first picture, then individually in the following order. The backs are all blank and not pictured.
Victor # 64190 - "From the Land of the Sky Blue Water" (with the Victor Orchestra)
Victor # 64183 - "My Laddie" (with the Victor Orchestra)
Victor # 64268 - "Long Ago" and "A Maid Sings Light" (piano accompaniment by Rosario Bourdon)
Victor # 64192 - "Will-o-the-Wisp" (piano accompaniment by the composer, Charles Gilbert Spross)
Victrola # 87131 - "Hexenritt und Knusperwalzer" from Humperdinck's "Hansel und Gretel" (with the Victor Orchestra)
They all look to be in remarkably excellent condition, beautifully shiny and very little visible surface wear of any great significance. I played them all on my Audio-Technica turntable, and there were no skips or repeats, and mostly just typical levels of light background noise for records of this age, with some scattered clicks or pops or short passages of ticking. Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, I can offer no guarantees as to how well they will play on your equipment.
