This has been in storage for nearly 30 years until now....Nick Drake Five Leaves Left earliest pressing with mis pressed side Way To Blue , Day Is Done in the wrong order to the label and sleeve listing!
FIRST EDITION PINK 'BLOCK' LABELS
Nm rare pink block Island Labels no spindle I can see on either side. Very fresh in appearance.
VISUAL VINYL GRADE
Glossy clean disc with fine removal lines,scuffs if carefully angled in bright sunlight but no noticeable scratches feelable or to eye only surface etc . Looks fresh and tidy.
THE FRAGILE SLEEVE
Sleeve usually suffers greatly from tears, rubbing on it's super fragile printed sleeve. This copy has the mildest of rubbing as seen in the detailed pictures provided here and on the link. The gatefold is unfaded and tidy. Spine is legible and clear. A truly excellent example and rarer for it as this record is the ultimate Nick Drake vinyl item on any list.
AUDIO TEST ON FULL TREBLE Audio grade on full cruel treble! Side one overall possibly NM as it reveals opening pop crackle very brief in it's background appearance not in the way of these delicate acoustic songs. A really enjoyable focused fresh non distorted sound, the best pressing I've heard in many years.has some brief ticks very rarely, one song towards the end has three pops repeated which may be dirt in the groove. I have not attempted to deep clean this record as I will leave that to the discretion on the lucky winner. It has been well looked after over the past 45 years.
THE INNER BAG The inner sleeve appears to be the original 1969 UK poly lined edition that came with this record the day it was released.in ex shape and very rare to have still with this record as they are usually lost or replaced being seen as not important to the set...but they are! Poly has come away on one side in the bag.
SIDE ONE & TWO: AUDIO
So side one is overall a strict Ex+ to NM as it is really quiet and fresh. Great! Side two is pretty much the same with odd pop or brief tick in background or a few seconds across a couple of revolutions. Again I would strictly grade ex+ to NM as it's quiet and clean sounding with the above pops mentioned.record lays flat on turntable. This is the upgrade you'll be happy to keep and enjoy. Oh and of course the songs are priceless. One of the best albums by anyone any time. It's Nick Drake after all.

HOW MANY PLAYS? hard to determine how many plays but would say a handful by it's appearance and audio finesse.
VISUAL GRADE OF RECORD AND SLEEVE ,Ex to NM in appearance, very tidy and archive like. Sleeve is also a strong EX+ to NM in appearance on front minimal rubbing (one of the cleanest I have seen in 30 years) back cover appears almost new NM.
