Description
This is the Flaming Lips "First EP", Self-released in 1985. This is the super rare first pressing, on green vinyl. On "A Lovely Sort Of Death" Records (LSD Records) This is a 6 song EP containing some of their greatest early songs like ""Out For A Walk" and "My Own Planet" (One of my favorites!!!) There were two pressings done in '85. the first one, on Green vinyl was paid for by the band and limited to 500 copies. The second pressing was done almost a year later and paid for by an "investor" out of Texas and was on Red Vinyl. The Green version is much harder to find and was the legitimate "very first release" by the Flaming Lips! All Flaming Lips fans know about this one and not many are able to find a copy! the vinyl for this is in VG+ condition with only a couple light paper scuffs and nothing that affects play. The jacket is in VG+ condition with wear at the corners and some light creases at the spine. I see this with almost all copies I have come in contact with over the years. Also included is the 12"x12" insert. All of these were "photocopy looking" but GUARANTEED to be original! I remember way back in 1985 when Michele V. first brought 25 copies of this record in for me to sell in the Record Store I worked in back in Tulsa, Oklahoma... Wish I still had all of those SEALED copies. We ended up giving back about 15 of them that didn't sell...
