Description
Original 1968 UK Blue Horizon label stereo press.
The second Fleetwood Mac album was recorded in April 1968 and finally released in August. The album was recorded live in the CBS Studios with a PA being set up to create the live sound, making this a good example of their live act, but it was not as well recieved as their first album. It was also heavily influenced by Elmore James, and in many ways it is a good example of the style of many British Blues bands of the era. Christine Perfect guested on keyboards, with Duster Bennett on harmonica and Johnny Almond with a horn section also played on the session.
This is the original stereo release with the rough Blue Horizon labels and the earliest A-1/B-1 matrices & B-6 B-6 mother stampers of the first 1968 issues!
Overall, the record still retains its original sheen and looks great. The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise, with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief, low background noise during the run in grooves.
Overall, a really great, loud & clear listen. The matrix nos. are; S7-63205, A-1 mother stamper B-6, B-1 mother stamper B-6. This is one of the early pressings of the original 1968 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
