Fleetwood Mac live from the Fillmore West, San Francisco, California January 17th 1969
In December 1968 Fleetwood Mac left London for an epic two-month tour of the US. While they were away they made recordings with Buddy Guy, Willie Dixon, Otis Spann and others, while back home Albatross topped the charts. This superb set was performed in San Francisco’s best-known venue, the Fillmore West on 17th January, where they were on a bill with Creedence Clearwater Revival and Albert Collins – broadcast on KSAN-FM. Capturing a legendary band at the peak of their powers, it’s presented here with background notes and images.
Peter Green – vocals, guitar
Jeremy Spencer – vocals, guitar
Danny Kirwan – vocals, guitar
John McVie – bass
Mick Fleetwood – drums
