First US pressing with "Violin" cover, 4000 made, most came with a lyric booklet/fanzine (early copies didn’t have one, but Dischord sent out copies to people who didn’t get it in the first place). US pressings have red/black printing on white labels. this one does not have a fanzine or lyric booklet
Classic hardcore compilation with all the important DC bands of that time; most play fast thrashy hardcore, sometimes too simple, but always honest & angry. There are some tracks that admittedly haven’t aged well, and some might argue that this LP is mainly of historical value, but a lot of this is just great and powerful hardcore that works just as well today as it did back in 1982, especially the songs by Minor Threat, Void & Artificial Peace. You need this anyway.
