I'm selling off some of my old records so check out my other auctions.

This is an original copy of the Dischord punk/HC comp lp "Flex Your Head". Bands are: Teen Idles, Untouchables, State of Alert, Minor Threat, Government Issue, Youth Brigade, Red C, Void, Iron Cross, Artificial Peace, Deadline.

This was a massively important record in promoting the DCHC sound around the world. Cover is VG with just some mild wear. Disc is VG. Just a few light scuffs and signs of damp that will come off once cleaned, this was stored in a garage. I don't have cleaning stuff I'll leave that up to you.

This thing that makes this copy stand out from all the rest is the insert booklet....that has been signed/graffitied by Tom Lyle & John Stabb from Government Issue....here's how.

In '88 GI did a european tour, the same tour that they named their Crash album after for obvious reasons. They played my home town and were amazing...I still have vivid memories of that night. They were due to stay at some squat on the otherside of town but for some reason that fell through. The guy who organised the gig asked me and many others if we could put them up for the night....I said yes. So we all trouped back to my small house along with the support band - Bad Blood. The support band went straight to sleep but GI and me stayed up looking through my record collection. They were amazed that some random guy 1000's of miles away had all this hardcore music. They were big damned fans and I slipped them some vinyl and photos. They got round to looking at flex your head and Tom asked for a pen, then he and Stabb went about writing alsorts of little things on nearly every page, mainly info on who went on to be in other bands but some other examples are:-

From the SOA page - 'Neil (me) John Stabb doin the slam dance. Stabb' Mike Hampton x-faith, x-one last wish, x-embrace Now jamming with Big Country lp's'

From the GI Page - 'Covered up Minor Threat because Brian Baker is arch rival of Stabb. Tom Lyle'

From the Red C page - 'I love you tony. Tom Lyle RIP 87'

Void - 'sort of like heavy metal jazz fusion psychedelic hardcore. Stabb' Bubba is god Tom Lyle'

Basically every page has something on it except Minor Threat and Iron Cross. On the back of the last page in big writing is 'Hey Neil-dude thankx for the vinyl and damned photos, free love -Stabb' & 'Neil, I'm very sorry I ruined your book here. Real Sorry - Tom Lyle'

It was a great night...and I don't think they ruined it, only made it more of a collectors item. So with this in mind, along with the memories I have, I've slapped a reserve on it. I don't care if I sell it and it's only up here as I need money now, so if it doesn't go...that's ok with me. This is a one off, there'll be no others like this out there.
