Florence Foster Jenkins was an (in-)famous socialite and patron of the arts in New York City, with a profound lack of singing talent. Shortly before her death in 1944, she held a sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall. Her true story was brought to the silver screen this year with Meryl Streep, Hugh Grant, and Simon Helberg.
Madame Jenkins recorded a limited number of 78rpm records under the Melotone label, originally given as gifts to the members of her Verdi Club. This record, with its typewritten label, was most likely one of those earlier pressings.
You are bidding on a DAMAGED copy of Florence Foster Jenkins attempting to perform "Queen of the Night" Mozart Aria, and Cosme McMoon's "Seranata Mexicana" on the flip side.
Unfortunately, this record was damaged in shipment when the seller didn't follow my instructions for proper packing. There is an edge crack not completely through to both sides. 
This record has light surface scuffs on both sides, and is missing the label for the "Seranata Mexicana" side.
This is your opportunity to own a piece of history at an unusual price because of the damage. I would NOT recommend playing over the crack, nor should it be placed in a record changer.
