Description
This is an Australian 3 track 10" 45RPM 'Special Limited Edition Release' of Flowers' single entitled "Can't Help Myself" on Regular Records (L-38925) distributed through Festival.
"At the time of its release, this was the first 10" disc released in Australia for over 20 years.
Due to its unusual size, problems arose in its production with special equipment required for manufacture.
8,000 copies were pressed, and sold out within weeks of its release".
Flowers were a Sydney, NSW based band which formed in 1977. They underwent a name change in 1981 and became Icehouse with Iva Davies being prominent in all aspects and, of course, in their subsequent success. Icehouse split up in 1989.
"Can't Help Myself is Flowers' debut single from 1980. (This is a special limited 10" 45RPM release). The following year, the group became Icehouse to avoid confusion with a Scottish band named The Flowers.
Please see Photo Gallery for the track listing, condition of record labels and light cardboard sleeve (age spotting apparent)..
Both sides audibly graded as VG-.
