Flying Circus Prepared in Peace Rare 60’s Aussie Pop

 

Sixties Australian band, Flying Circus garnered fame with a number of catchy pop songs while their albums offered a remarkably sophisticated brand of country rock. The albums were overlooked by both the pop fans and more serious listeners, the latter only familiar with the pop songs. “Prepared in Peace was their second album and was produced by Mike Perjanik. An Australian pressing on the Columbia Label (SCXO 7925), the record has some light surface scuffing and has a pressing bubble on the second last track of side one the thumps loudly for about 5 revolutions. Otherwise it is of very good appearance and plays and sounds superb with some low-level surface noise. The gatefold cover has rubbed and there is a scuff on the back where a small area of the laminate had been scraped of - otherwise it is in very good condition.
