Description

“Ways to Get Through” Merlin Records #MK-37-167. Here is what Ken Scott from “The Archivist” says about this record: “John Foley and John Kavanaugh have crafted a beautiful double album of moody folk music unequaled in the Christian market. A couple of songs on the 2nd LP get some heavy electric fuzz guitar. The songwriting leans toward the poetic, call it ‘thinking man’s folk.’” As an added bonus, this record also includes a typed letter found inside LP cover. It is from “Michael” at The Institute for the Study of Peace at St. Louis University (where Foley & Kavanaugh were from) to “Patricia” in Minneapolis. He talks about his favorite songs on the record, smoking hash with Patricia before he left Minnesota and tells here she has one of the nicest asses he’s ever seen. Songs on the LP: Records Piano and Guitar, It is Good, Tastes of Your Life, All Undone, You are Far Away, Take my Ring, The Colors you Bring, Throw me a Line Let me not Say, Peas Carrots and Cabbages, Save Them, The Promises of Home, Clyde, Wind, Listen to the Angels, Lydia Moore, The Silo, Barbarie, Rainin’ Days, The Summer will Rise, Evening Sunrise, How can I Keep from Singing. Both records are in strong VG+ condition, with light sleeve scuffs. Cover is in VG+ condition, too, and has light ring wear, but all seams are intact. Strict grading. Satisfaction guaranteed.
