This is a sales sample of a MFSL half-speed LP.

Cover: NM-, very slight wear at corners.

Vinyl: NM-. I see no flaws at all.

I was a manufacturer's representative for a consumer electronics firm back in the 1980s. One of the lines we carried was MFSL. These were salesman's samples. They were played slightly, if at all, and either on my home system (RP2, glass platter era, Ortophone MC cartridge) or in high-end audio shops back in the day (We also had Infinity, Micro Acoustics and later Stanton, and a line of good turntables (don't recall which now, maybe AR?) and I seem to recall carting a turntable around. Was the Black Widow arm Infinity? My memory may be failing...) They may have been played on that too. I have owned these since then. Many are still sealed and a couple are stamped with a gold "Demonstration only" stamp.

THAT SAID: I have not played these in years, which is one reason (downsizing is the other) that I'm selling them. I am grading visually. This is subjective. I am trying to grade on a linear continuum from "poor" to "presumed mint." Some sellers don't use "mint." If an LP hasn't been opened, I call it "presumed mint." Also, I am not a business. This is my personal collection. I started collecting LPs in the late 1960s.

NOTE: I DO NOT DO AFTER SALE DISCOUNTS. I had a string of buyers the last time I listed some of these that all tried the same thing. They'd get the LP, find some minor grievance, and request a return. When I accepted, they suddenly all had a "better idea." "Why don't you knock $XX off and I'll keep it." (50% to 75% of the sale price.) It worked exactly once. It will not work again. Some of them got offended that I didn't like their "better idea" and left negative feedback after the return had been processed. If you demand something to be in better shape than when it left the factory, please move along. One of these "major issues" appeared to me to have been left by the label machine. There was an slight indentation about the size of a ball point pen tip on the spine. The buyer in that case thought that a 50% refund was appropriate.
