On offer is an album from my own collection. This is the second album by Forest and an absolute prog/folk classic.
As most of you will know, this album is very rare indeed.
The sleeve art (Joan Melville) of this remarkable album is second to none!!! It has hidden drawings within drawings and is very mystical. The colours are very earthy and the sleeve is textured. The inside sleeve also has very appealing and compelling drawings. Probably the best sleeve art I have ever come across and definitely up there with Roger Dean's best. The sleeve has NO creases and only some rubmarks to the bottom and top edges and some very minor scuffing to the sharp edge of the spine.
The vinyl is absolutely astounding. There are NO hairlines or marks. In my opinion it would be impossible to upgrade from this copy!!!!!! I have looked time and again for any inconsistancies, but all I could see from any kind of angle and in various light sources are some very faint retraction scuffmarks. The vinyl has certainly not been played more than just once or twice!!!
The labels are beautiful, although as is visible there is a price sticker on one of the labels. I do think that this can be removed safely although I haven't made an attempt.
The original inner sleeve with poly liner is also still there with EMI adverts for the likes of Bakerloo, Panama Limited Jugband, Forest's first, Quatermass etc.
This album is an absolute MUSEUM piece and for that reason I will only send by Special delivery (£4.99 in the UK) or International Signed For. I will pack in professional protective album mailer. I will also put an outer poly gatefold protector around the sleeve.
