Forest. UK Radioactive Records limited edition 180g vinyl LP LONG OUT OF PRINT Forest RARE NUMBER 192/1000!! 180g LP. Radioactive. new & sealed copy of this rare repressing -- Printed numbered copy"192/1000" on the back of the gatefold sleeve ... Forest were an important psychfolk band who released two, fine albums. Especially the second one has more worked out, longer tracks which makes this album at least a classic in the genre. The style holds a bit the middle between a calm Comus and perhaps Incredible String Band.
FOREST Forest (2005 UK limited edition 12-track audiophile issue of the rare 1969 LP, pressed on 180gram VINYL. This is one of the [debut] albums that acts as a major influence on the new wave of Acid Folksters, originally recorded at Abbey Road Studios and with its semi-improvised and original songs it has become a much sought after album. The gatefold picture sleeve reproduces the original album artwork, individually numbered out of just one thousand - still SEALED & stickered from new, MINT and unplayed! Sticker is on the shrink wrap NOT the sleeve (RRLP058)
***THIS RE+ISSUE WAS Limited to just 1000 copies*** This and their other album were originally released on Harvest Records, and this one was recorded at Abbey Road where John Peel reportedly doted on the band. The originals are near impossible to get your hands on today without a fairly fat cheque book. This was a very good progressive folk album in 1969, even though nobody was calling it that then Line-up / Musicians
