78 RPM 10" Album with 4 Records: Cascades of Melody by Collins H. Driggs on the Novachord from 1941 - released by Victor Records
First - story time: Per Wikipedia "The Novachord is an electronic musical instrument often considered the world's first commercial polyphonic synthesizer. All-electronic, incorporating many circuit and control elements found in modern synthesizers, and using subtractive synthesis to generate tones, it was designed by John M. Hanert, Laurens Hammond and C. N. Williams, and was manufactured by the Hammond company. Only 1,069 Novachords were built over a period from 1939 to 1942."
The album that houses the 4 records is holding together well. There is some surface wear. There is a small scuff (or sticker/tape damage) on the upper right of the front. There is an "8" in a circle written on the back. The spine is intact although there is a little corner wear. The sleeves bound inside are in good shape and still firmly attached. I noticed short tears on two of the sleeves. There is some overall general discoloration. The album does not display a list of songs included. Inside the back cover is a list of other Victor Records albums.
The records mostly look nice and shiny with minimal scuffs and handling marks. I give records 1, 2 and 4 a grade of VG+. Record 3 has a few more scuffs and other surface marks and I grade it VG. I played all of these records before offering them for sale. They all play with no skips. There is great sound with only mild record surface noise for the three records I graded VG+. The VG record has moderate record surface noise, but still sounds good. Overall, the music is clear and sharp and record surface noise isn't a distraction and does not hinder enjoyment of the music.

A word on safely shipping 78 RPM records: They can be fragile and easily breakable. If shipped in packaging that would be perfectly safe for a vinyl record, the chance of breakage is pretty good. I believe that shellac 78's need to be shipped in a box with cardboard padding reinforced with bubble wrap and more for shock absorbers. Proper packing materials for shipping an album of 78s cost me about $4.00 per package. Add upwards of $6.00 for USA media mail postage and you can see that my shipping cost alone is $10.00 or more for an album with multiple records. I promise to pack your item securely, no matter what it is. Everything I ship gets packed well, so don't worry about a thing. If appropriate I will add insurance coverage and sometimes I will add signature tracking (USA) when your item is shipped. Signature tracking ensures that the postal service doesn't leave your valuable item unattended on your doorstep out in the rain. Signature tracking requires that your package be handed to you (or your agent) directly - after you sign for it. So if you order something rare and/or worth a bit, be prepared to have to accept delivery in person.

When multiple items are shipped together, I can almost always give you a better deal on the shipping cost compared to the individual shipping costs. I promise to give you the best rate possible based on the items purchased and the shipping method required. Be sure to look at all that I offer to see if you can add to your order without significantly increasing shipping charges.
For "Buy It Now" items (most of what I offer), simply add each that you want to your shopping cart. When ready to commit to buying, request a total from me from your cart and I'll send an invoice as soon as I can. Since I'm not a computer and I do other things like sleep and take the dogs for walks, you might not receive an immediate response, but I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you decide to pay for items you want individually instead of using the shopping cart, I might be able to send some money back for a shipping discount. You won't get quite as good of a deal that way though, because I will already have been charged ebay fees on the shipping costs that you paid.
Sometimes combining shipping results in increased packaging material expense. I'm not going to skimp on safe packaging. Some items are not compatible for combined shipping. Combining shipping might require changing the shipping class used. A few items that I offer are not eligible for combined shipping. There will be a note to that effect in description somewhere if that's the case. For international sales, items with "ebay International Standard Delivery" shipping can usually be combined up to $100 value. For international sales, items with ebay's "Global Shipping Program" shipping cannot be discounted easily because ebay does not permit shipping discounts with their "Global Shipping Program."
Of course it is ok to ask about combined shipping costs up front too. I can't always give an exact cost, but I'll do my best to give you a ballpark figure.
I reserve the right to limit the number of items or the total value of items that I'm willing to send in a single package. This is especially true for international orders where postage rates and insurance limitations are limiting factors.
