Description
Here are four early Beatles 45's with picture sleeves. Three of them are rather rare. I checked Bruce Spizer's book "Beatles Records On Vee-Jay" to make sure the Vee-Jay sleeves are real and not counterfeit. The Capital sleeve is also real as is the ATCO sleeve. First up is: The Beatles Capital 5112, "I Want To Hold Your Hand" backed with "I Saw Her Standing There". The record is mint and the picture sleeve is a strong VG++. Second one up is The Beatles ATCO 6308, "Ain't She Sweet" backed with "Nobody's Child". The record is mint minus and the picture sleeve is VG+ with minor age mellowing. The third one up is The Beatles VJ 522 with "Thank You Girl" backed with "From Me To You". The record is VG+ with a small amount of wear on the label with the vinyl being mint minus. This record comes with the Merry Christmas, Happy New Year sleeve which Vee-Jay issued for some of their 45's around Christmas time. Its in VG+ condition with very slight age mellowing. Fourth up is The Beatles Vee-Jay 581 with "Please, Please Me" backed with "From Me To You". The record is VG+ with slight wear on the label and the vinyl mint minus. The picture sleeve is in VG+ condition with just light bit of age mellowing.
The book value on these four 45's with picture sleeves is around $1200.00. I'm starting this auction at a very fair $399.00. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
