Description
This is a lot of four of the records produced by the Harlan Ellison Record Collection back in the 1980s.
I purchased all of these new, but I did listen to each of them a number of times. While I was reasonably careful with them, I was a teenager at the time. As far as I can see the surfaces of the records are free from visible nicks or scratches except as noted. Unfortunately I do not have a working turntable to test them on.
Here's the list:
- On the Road With Ellison Volume 1. This contains nine short selections from talks Ellison gave at colleges in 1981-3. This is a signed copy, #738/1000. The signature is a bit smudged (it was like that when I got it). As can be seen, the outer sleeve has some spotting and discoloration along the top edge. The inner sleeve does not have this problem. The record itself looks fine.
- Harlan Ellison Reads On the Downhill Side. As it says, with music by Elise Morris. This is a signed copy, #422/1000. The outer sleeve has a little wear but no spotting. The inner sleeve is fine. The record has a marking which could be a scratch, although it looks superficial. The marking is between the reflections in the upper right of the picture of this record; note that I deliberately highlighted it so it could be seen easily - normally it is much fainter.
- Harlan Ellison Reads Jeffty is Five. As it says, with music by Brad Kay. This was originally supposed to include "Prince Myshkin, and Hold the Relish" but there wasn't room; the story was instead recorded on cassette (I don't have the cassette any longer, sorry). The outer sleeve has some wear and spotting and discoloration on the back. The inner sleeve is also discolored, but this is caused by the interior of the outer sleeve, which is uncoated cardboard (the records above, published a bit later, use coated stock). The record itself looks fine.
- Harlan!: Ellison Reads Ellison. This has "'Repent, Harlequin!' Said the Ticktockman" on one side and "Shatterday" on the other. The outer sleeve has some wear and a little spotting along the top edge. The inner sleeve is discolored by contact with uncoated cardboard. The record itself looks fine.

NOTES ON SHIPPING:
- I am always willing to combine multiple items into one package (and charge the actual shipping cost plus my usual small handling fee). Buyers outside the US should be aware that there is a weight limit of 4 lbs for First Class International, so if enough items are combined the resulting package might need to go at the higher Priority Mail rate.
- Buyers in the US should be aware that the eBay shipping calculator's Priority Mail prices are always at least a little too high, as it doesn't include the online discount (or Regional Rate prices when appropriate). I will invoice the correct amount.
