The fourth four tet from 27 year old kieran hebden 'everything ecstatic' is his attempt to get back in touch with the harsher dance sounds of his south london youth and step away from 2003's 'rounds' folktronica. It's a 10 track urban record densley packed and constantly shifting. It's the aural equivalent of a hatuki murakami novel, where images and concepts rush in at you from the craziest directions, making sense without making sense. It ranges from happy hardcore for the jazz intelligenstia to a gentle cross-legged cocoon of gentle beats and wind chimes to cuts inspired by can and alice coltrane. It's mercurial mood music from the ever-evolving laptop scientist. British
