OK Friends this is it I am selling off one my most prized collectibles the rarest, oldest, most unique and hard to find LP of this genre anywhere to be found. So enjoy looking and bidding.
RARE OUT OF PRINT Vinyl- MOONBLOOD by FRACTION
Angelus Records - 1971
Cover is VG with tape repairs on the fragile cut out and moisture damage and slight discoloration, corner bumps and a crack in top right corner of cutout, red mylar is intact, insert is a single piece and is intact with only slight tears all visible in the photos.
Album is VG+ bright and shiny, dead wax has handwritten " WR 5005 A/B" only slight paper rubs, slight imperfection on first track either a manufacturing defect or heat exposure but it has not affected play for me; labels are intact and in good condition, plays VG++
Ken Scott in the Archivist 4th Ed. Vintage Vinyl Jesus Music refers to this album as; "Psychedelic fire and brimstone doom monster with heavy Doorish influence and ferociously guttural screamed lead vocals......considered by many to be the Holy Grail of psych privates......It don't get any heavier than this!". Hard rock with a psychedelic feel.
This is an orginal album and not a reissue. This LP was obtained from a dealer in Southern California who found it in a box of easy listening records from an elderly couple in Glendale CA. They were associated with the church attended by the band members. Moonblood was recorded at the Whitney Studios in Glendale CA approx 1971. Only 200 were ever produced. I have only seen two on EBAY in the past and I currently own both of those. Great piece of history for a serious collector.
