   For sale is vinyl record by Frank Sinatra and Carlos Jobim titled "Francis Albert Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim, originally released in 1967 by Reprise Records with a gate-fold presentation. This record has the original tri-color labels of gold, light blue and tan, with Frank Sinatra's picture on the top left. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers 1-L/1-K, followed by a lower case "o" and an upper case "T", indicating that this record was mastered at Columbia Records' Customatrix before early stampers were used to make this album at Columbia Records' pressing plant, located in Terre Haute, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put this album into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. Doing this protects the integrity of vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded as Very Good because of ring wear, edge rubs, corner blunting and a three inch seam split beginning at the top right hand corner, along with paper loss at the top left hand corner. The spine has a little color loss at one of the corners and along the edges from rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent because of superficial sleeve marks and hairline surface scratches, none of which can be felt with a fingertip. The vinyl is play graded between Very Good Plus and Excellent because of occasional low level surface noise and ticking, most noticeable during the quiet passages of playback. It plays all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. This is still one of the best copies of this hard to find record that I've ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find a copy in this condition, especially a Terre Haute pressing.
