Description
For sale is this very scarce vinyl LP of FRANK RICOTTI QUARTET - OUR POINT OF VIEW on CBS Records 1969. This copy is the 1969 U.K. 1st Pressing of this sought-after scarce Jazz record. Sleeve notes are by Humphrey Lyttleton. The catalogue number is CBS52668. The matrices are:
Side One - SRM 52668 A1 Side Two - SRM 52668 B1
Personnel: Frank Ricotti - Vibes and Alto Saxophone, Chris Spedding - Electric Guitar, Chris Laurence - Double Bass and Bass Guitar, Bryan Spring - Drums.
Condition*: The sleeve is a strong VG+. the laminated front has very little wear and no apparent colour fading. There is a small crease top R/H corner. There is minimal wear to the edges, corners and spine. The unlaminated back has signs of handling and a light impression of the disc visible. Overall a great sleeve.
The disc is also VG+. The surface is glossy and dark showing few signs of play. Under harsh light there are minimal very light markings. There is one very small scratch that is briefly audible as a very low tick on B2 (Dark Though Sun Shines) but for which the disc would be a strong EX grade. Other than this the record has been played through from start to finish and plays faultlessly with nothing worse than some low occasional crackle. Overall a great copy of this very hard to find Jazz 1st pressing.

I can only give an honest appraisal based on careful visual inspection and thorough play testing. I do try to describe all significant faults and photograph them whenever possible and I certainly won't intentionally hide anything. Please read the description carefully, look at the pictures and make your own mind up. The grading scale I have used goes from G to NM with VG+ as par. In other words: Good (G), Very Good (VG), Very Good+ (VG+), Excellent (EX) and Near Mint (NM). Anything better than that would be Mint and would be listed as new. Anything worse than Good I probably wouldn't be selling.
