This is a US vinyl pressing on Army Reserve Records Program No. 273, 274, 275, & 276 from 1976.     It is a double album in a gatefold cover.      All four sides have interviews and songs by Frank Sinatra.        The back cover shows the air weeks for each show : July 18, 1976, July 25, 1976, August 1, 1976, and August 8, 1976.       During the show there are ads for the US Army Reserve :  "It Pays To Go To Meetings".      To have heard these interviews in 1976, you would have had to be listening to a radio station that had The Army Reserve as a sponsor.    

Inside the gatefold cover it shows the covers of the albums in this series :     "Country Cookin" has interviews by Lee Arnold of country music stars.      "Skitch & Company" has interviews by Skitch Henderson of MOR music stars.       "Rap N' Rhythm With Al Gee" has interviews by Al Gee of soul artists.     "Nightbird & Company : Cosmic Connection" has interviews by Alison Steele of rock artists.      

This album has four different, complete 25 minute radio shows by Frank Sinatra as interviewed by William B. Williams.

Program # 273       Air Week of 7/18/1976       The interviews and songs on side 1 are :      Hi there my name is Francis Albert Sinatra and I am speaking on behalf of the United States Army Reserve and here is your host : William B. Williams.    Song : "I Sing The Songs", which was written by Bruce Johnson, one of The Beach Boys.    Is that who he is?  I didn't know that.  I knew that David Gates was from Bread.    Are you on tour now ?  I will be in New York in July, New England in August, then Vegas and Lake Tahoe, then Vancouver and Toronto next May.      Song : 'Supposing".     This is William B. William and my guest today is The Chairman Of The Board : Francis Albert Sinatra.   Song : "Bad Bad Leroy Brown".     The next tune is the original version of 'Nancy' written by Phil Silvers.  The songs was written when she was two.  Now Nancy has provided my with two little girls.  Nancy is a great gal.   We are hoping for more grandchildren from Tina and Jr.    Song : "Nancy".    He gives credit to arrangers, composers and a good arranger is terrible vital, he is a recording secretary, he picks the key and get my thoughts and background, develops the songs.     Song : "Clouds". 

Program # 274      Air Week of 7/25/1976       The interviews and songs on side 2 are :       My guest today is The Chairman Of The Board : Francis Albert Sinatra.     Song : 'Sweet Caroline".    I see the audience reaction to my songs.   The love comes back to me.  The audience trigger the feelings.      Song : "In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning".    Here is Old Tender Tonsils, Old Blue Eyes, The Chairman Of The Board.   Every singer owes you a debt.    You are the master.   Song : "This Is All I Ask".  Written by Gordon Jenkins.  Once in Vegas with Gordon Jenkins he had tears on his cheeks.      We may have some warts and I have been a devotee of American history.  We've had a lot of warts, bumps, and boils.   We will always have this because we are such a free state.  We have a broad scope of thinking and we must listen to right wing thinking.   Song : "Chicago Is My Kind Of Town".  Who impresses you now?  Ben Vereen has great talent.  Mac Davis has a future like Perry and Pat Boone.  Shirley McClaine is a pro and is sensational.  song : "All The Way".   

Program # 275      Air Week of 8/1/1976      The interviews and songs on side 3 are :    Song : "Witchcraft".   We are talking to the last great swinger.   You came to play like the 'Green Bay Packers'.  I think man power, in every sense of the word, in any business, if he needs man power he should really find the best.   We try to get an orchestra made up of the finest musicians.   Bob, who does lighting and sound knows how to handle it and I never worry about anything.   I vocalize a couple hours a day and 15 minutes before I go on.   There is always a back up plan.   This I have learned about through the years.   We are ready with 2 or 3 dinner jackets, bow ties, and other minor things.   song : "Street Of Dreams".    Do you care about reviews?  Yes I care, but I'm not shaken by poor reviews.  Because I've been around too long.    If a paper sends a rock and roll reviewer to review my show, I take it with a grain of salt, cause I don't know that he knows what I'm doing.   I've written letters to reviewers who criticize me cause they were absolutely right.  Maybe my programing was to slow or I didn't jockey the tunes enough.    I've also written the other kind of letter explaining to a critic that if he intends to examine my music knowledge or experience that I'd like to see his pedigree, because I have a pedigree,    I've never been angry about a critic because I feel he has the right to say what he thinks.    Song : "Moody River".    Speaking of nostalgia, I remember the old day like in Gary, Indiana.   There was a racial struggle going on.  I had a message from the PTA, someone there was upset that black and white kids were swimming in the same pool.     I spoke to the kids in the high school.  I wanted to see right done.   It was started by the adults not the kids.  The following week I was in Time magazine with the caption 'Sinatra Fails'.   After that I spoke in many high schools and some colleges.  What about your song 'The House I Lived In', that won an academy award?   Earl Robinson sent me the tune, I did make the record and it became a short movie.  Song ; "The House I Lived In" from 1945.     Song : "Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Old Oak Tree".  

Program # 276       Air week of 8/8/1976       The interviews and songs on side 4 are :   Song : "Dancing In The Park".       Here is The Chairman Of The Board and Abbott Of The Friers.  The Friers made you 'man Of The Year'.  Does the performer owe the public?    He owes the public the finest performance he can give, every time, a condition of good behavior, civil manners in speech and behavior.    You told me about the story about the photographer that was about to take your picture.   I stopped him and said I'd rather you didn't take my picture.  He said he had the civil right to do it.    I said I have civil rights too.   At least you could have asked me.  OK, can I take your picture?  No.     Song : "Try A Little Tenderness".  Song : "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life".    Are there any areas in show business that you still want to conquer?    I'd like a shot at being a tenor and I'd like to play 'Eago' in a play.    Live song : "I've Got You Under My skin".   In what way do you want to be remembered?  I'd like to be remembered as an honest man, a hard worker, a great father, a fair husband, a great granddad, and a good friend.      Song : "Put Your Dream Away".     Alright my boy, I'll be talking to you soon.

The gatefold cover is mint minus with no ring wear and no seam splits.         There are four very tiny 'checks' on the back cover.          The vinyl look mint and they play mint.       The labels are clean with no spindle marks.       The records come in plain white inner sleeves.

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.
