Well -- lets be honest about it there are lots of copies out there...like loads and loads and loads...but very occasionally you hit on a truly inspirational and special original pressing. An original 1st press of PONR on the UK Capitol label from 1961. Matrix D7/D7. Stamper 1G/1R - making it one of the very 1st to roll off the press. Factory Sample Sticker. And in '61 a stereo 1st press is incredibly unusual - mono would have outsold stereo by a massive margin. Please note the labels are ABSOLUTELY correct for 1st issue. No sign of 'Sold in UK'... Also note the labels mention the 'WOTZ' tax code - correct for the period.]. The vinyl comes housed in an original stereo cover with flipbacks. There's also the original Emitex inner. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
THIS COPY WAS PURCHASED MAIL ORDER BY A STEREO SPECIALIST...I would say a fastidious individual. Mail order flyer included.

Vinyl (Ex) Wow, what a copy... it has clearly seen only light careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side -nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Super audio - it really is like being right there. Beautiful revealing audio. If you really wanted a proper reflection of an accurate reflection of the vocal performance of Sinatra - this has that in studio quality, I find a lot of Jazz originals difficult to find playing clean. In part due to popularity.... and partly due to the sheer passage of time. But this copy is a time-traveller for sure. And I'd wager that the stampers are helping big time too. Difficult to find fault. Nothing more than a few crackles in one isolated spot and a couple of ticks in one isolated spot . A really clean player throughout - even into those airy low-key moments. Great ambiance. Great audio. CANNOT FAULT.
Cover (Ex-) For a '61 copy - I'd argue this is in very rude health. The front looks great with just a bump bottom left corner. The rear has avoided ageing - just a little surface wear in the black sector. Still very respectable. Edge wear is slight and the spine is 80% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) hardly any ageing. No splits. Lush...
