Description

  • Near mint 1963 Capitol swirl label original 45 RPM record “The Big Surfer” (Capitol 4981) written and produced by Frank Zappa and performed by Brian Lord and The Midnighters. This was released a few years before Zappa formed the Mothers Of Invention.
  • The record is typical novelty style early Zappa with an odd surfer parody of the Kennedy White House.
  • The flip side is “Not Another One” credited to The Midnighters.
  • The glossy 45 looks and plays very close to mint and the swirl labels are also near mint with a small smudge on one label looking worse in the picture than it is by the camera flash.
