Broadway the Hard Way Release Date: The original 9-track vinyl LP was released on October 14, 1988 through Zappa's own Barking Pumpkin Records label. The material was recorded live between February and June 1988 during Zappa's final world tour. Despite its title and satirical nature, the record received a 1989 Grammy nomination for Best Musical Cast Show Album. THE MAN FROM UTOPIA 1983 ALBUM ,The cover artwork is a reference to a 1982 concert in Italy where the band was plagued by mosquitoes, The illustration of Zappa was created by Italian artist Tanino Liberatore.
