~~~ HERE'S THE STORY: IT SEEMS THAT IN GERMANY THE REGULAR NEON PARK VERSION OF THE WEASELS RIPPED MY FLESH COVER WITH THE GUY SHAVING WITH A RAZOR / WEASEL WAS DETERMINED TO BE TOO VULGAR AND EXCESSIVE TO DISTRIBUTE TO THE VIRGIN MINDS OF THE CONSUMER IN GERMANY. SO THE GERMANS, ALWAYS KNOWN FOR THEIR CREATIVITY CAME UP WITH THIS SPECIAL RAT TRAP COVER WITHOUT EVER INFORMING ZAPPA ABOUT IT AND RELEASED IT. NOW IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT FRANK WENT ON A TOUR OF EUROPE IN 1970 AND WHILE IN GERMANY ON A TV SHOW, THE GUY SHOWED FRANK A COPY OF THIS RAT TRAP COVER. [ THERE IS A VIDEO OF THAT GERMAN TV SEGMENT ON YOUTUBE ], WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY FRANK GOT REALLY PISSED OFF, HE DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS RAT TRAP COVER BEING RELEASED AND WENT TO THE RECORD COMPANY OVER THERE SHORTLY AFTER THE TV SHOW AND THREATENED TO SUE THEM IF THEY DIDN'T STOP MANUFACTURING THAT COVER. OF COURSE THEY QUIT MAKING IT BUT NOT UNTILL A FEW HUNDRED WERE ALREADY ON THE SHELVES OF RECORD STORES THROUGHOUT GERMANY WAITING TO POLLUTE THE MINDS OF INNOCENT GERMAN CONSUMERS. AND YOU THINK THAT HITLER WASN'T ENOUGH? NOW THEY HAD TO DEAL WITH ZAPPA. IN ANY CASE THIS VERSION IS QUITE RARE.
