Frank Zappa - Muffin Research from the Utility Kitchen LP
Please take a quick look at all the other nice things I have for sale - Click Here!  This is an original Frank Zappa Muffin Research from the Utility Kitchen LP which consists of live recordings between 1975 and 1981 plus 1980 and 1982 rehearsals on the road. The interesting thing about this LP for the Zappa fanatic is hearing Frank teach the band to play a couple of new songs. You hear him stop the band and correct them and move on. Of special interest is In France which is much more a straight blues progression with no "Way on down. Way on down. Down in France" and extra lyrics that didn't appear in the final popularized version. My favorite was hearing Frank work the band through He's So Gay, which started out as a 50's Do Wop style! There are also early versions of Teenage Wind (mainly drums, bass, and keyboards) and Pick Me I'm Clean. Also note that the final instrumental is a somewhat unusual guitar solo that I never heard before which starts out mellow, gets loud and then mellows out again. The Track 5 guitar solo appears to be Frank warming up before a show without the band.
 On a personal note, this album contains Treacherous Cretins from the opening of the concert in Detroit on November 25 1981 which was my first Zappa concert and therefore the first song I ever saw him play live. (snif snif). Both the cover and record are Near Mint.

 The sound bites between the songs are from the E. Varese Radiospecial recorded November 1981

All international buyers will be shipped through the eBay Global Shipping program. The item will be shipped in a protective plastic record sleeve and packed in a mailer designed for vinyl records. After receiving the payment we can usually ship the item out that day or the day after by USPS Media Mail.

I have found that they sometimes add what seems to be unreasonable amounts of money for Import Fees which vary by country. I have no control over these fees; I don't even know what they are until payment has been made; I only get my item payment and my portion of the shipping (for in the USA) - none of these import fees or international shipping fees come to me.
