Frank Zappa Puttin' On The Ritz (Limited 4 x White, Red & Green Splatter Vinyl Deluxe Hardcover Edition) Pre-order
Scheduled for release on 17th November 2014. Please be aware that release dates can change.
The classic Frank Zappa New York City broadcast from 1981. 4LPs clocking in at 152 minutes!
Zappa hit the road in September '81, with his latest touring band, comprising Chad Wackerman on drums, Ed Mann on percussion, Tommy Mars on keyboards, Scott Thunes on bass, with Steve Vai and Ray White on guitar.
In November the group travelled to New York State, played a couple of shows up north before hitting the city and unloading at the infamous Ritz venue in the East Village on the 17th.
The show that night was captured by WLIR FM Radio and broadcast across the East Coast to the delight of Zappa fans who hadn’t been lucky enough to secure a ticket.
Playing for more than two and a half hours, with special guests Al Di Meola and Brian Peters joining on a couple of numbers, this deluxe vinyl set features the complete gig as broadcast, available here on vinyl for the first time.
Quadruple White, Red & Green Splatter Vinyl.

ALL THE ALBUMS I SELL ARE VERY SECURELY PACKAGED WITH AT LEAST TWO STIFFENERS AND NEW PLASTIC SLEEVES. I ONLY USE THE HIGHEST GRADE PACKAGING TO ENSURE THE RECORDS ARRIVE IN THE CONDITION I STATE IN MY LISTINGS.
Grading
I grade all my records using the Record Collector's Grading System which is as follows:
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent - The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits discoloration etc.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/ or defaced.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Packaging
Items are sent in new plastic sleeves and high quality, professional record packaging, with at least four stiffeners for protection.
