Doesn't get much more rare than this. This is the 1984 release of "Volare". No record label listed. Full color photo cover front and back. Back has FZ w/ famous Hendrix guitar.

This Frank Zappa "rare" LP is primarily excerpted from the 1982 concert in Cologne, Germany, except for a comical throwaway version of the 1960s pop hit "Volare," performed during a later show in Milan. This is an audience recording, though the sound is not that bad. A very smooth version of "Zoot Allures" opens the Cologne show, before segueing into "Sofa," "Fine Girl," "Easy Meat" (which was interrupted midway so the bootlegger could flip his cassette), "I Ain't Got No Heart," the hilarious yet unexplained "Shall We Take Ourselves Seriously?" (inspired by the European concert promoter Fritz Rau, who debated with Zappa for hours after a concert as to whether a roadie was entitled to eat asparagus off a post-concert buffet table), "What's New in Baltimore?," and finally "Moggio," which is abruptly ended as the tape probably ran out. Although Zappa and his amazing stunt guitarist Steve Vai play a lot of great solos, the sound noticeably drops in quality on the vocal numbers compared to the instrumentals. Therefore, this bootleg LP, although long out of print and somewhat of a collectable, is only worth seeking by true Zappa fanatics; all of these songs have appeared with far better fidelity on his commercial releases from the period.
