Description
This is a Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention Freak Out album Verve V-5--5-2. It is an original album and has the ad for the hot spots map in the gatefold cover. I do not see any marking of Stereo and believe this to be a mono album. I am not a professional dealer but will describe this to the best of my ability and try to grade it to Goldmine Standards. For the cover, there is minor ring wear (the glare of my picture makes it look worse but this VERY slight). There are spots of wear to the corners and edges but all seams are intact. There is yellowing/spotting/foxing to the inside of the gatefold. There is also very minor spotting to the cover in the lighter areas. This can probably be cleaned but I do not know how to do it. The inner sleeves are plain white and are yellowed. They look to be original. The vinyl has nice luster to the vinyl and the labels. There is a light smudge on the silver on side 1. The albums have light loose dust. I did not attempt to clean them and I do not have the capacity to listen to it. There is a very faint line/scratch on side 2 "I'm not satisfied" that is so minor that it will not appear in a picture. I do not know if it would be audible. You have to look closely under light to see it. Also, on side three there us a faint line/scratch on 2nd and 3rd movement. These look to be unplayed when you first look at them. I identified this on close inspection under light to be accurate. This came from an estate that had some great vinyl and I will be listing other albums as well (some sealed). Apparently the former owner was in the music business as there are numerous promos in the collection. This is thick cardboard and is definitely not a bootleg or recent pressing. Insured shipping in US is $12 and international is $40. No buy it now. I will let bidders decide what it is worth.
