Description
This is a really great original 1985 Barking Pumpkin (BPR-7777) edition of Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention's "OLD MASTERS, BOX ONE", consisting of the re-engineered and improved classic Mothers' albums of the 1960s, "FREAK OUT!", "ABSOLUTELY FREE", "WE'RE ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY", "LUMPY GRAVY", "RUBEN AND THE JETS", plus the bonus "MYSTERY DISC"...also include in the box set are the original order form blanks for BARFKO-SWILL souvenir items, and the 32 page softbound book of background, graphics, album notes, and so on for the fans out there in Motherland....anyway, it's a great set of albums, and was issued as a limited and numbered box, this being number ZMI-02107 on the back silver cover of the slipcase...the condition is overall excellent to mint, with the records appearing to be virtually unplayed, the vinyl is incredibly clean and looks perfect in fact, and the albums and graphics about mint as well, with only very minor almost non-existent blems in a couple of cases to page edges....there is some wrinkling to the corners of one of the order blanks, and the silver cover boards of the box/case show some minor edge wear, again, very slight and confined to the borders and rear cover...a truly great set, and one of a number of rare and collectible records that I'm going to start offering over the next couple of weeks.....this is part of a series of rare collectibles and antique items, vintage magazines and bulletins, Hugo Gernsback Magazines on Radio and Electricity, and other items of ephemera including vintage photographs, programs, and rare and unusual books and magazines relating to Fashion, Christmas and Holiday Collectibles and Cards, Electric Vehicles, Trucks, Automotive and Hollywood Memorabilia, Natural History, Science, Geology, Art, Aviation, and other subjects of great interest (take your pick), that I'll be listing over the next couple of weeks at whipplesbooks on ebay.
