Please be advised that I've just moved in the last couple months. This means that my turntable is still in storage. So keep in mind that I have not been able to test-play any of the records for sale this year.
This copy seems to be a mix-and-match, but the albums are in fantastic condition. The first LP is from the late 60's, early 70's. It has the wider concentric ring on the labels, and it makes reference to the Sunset Boulevard address in the bottom perimeter print. Side 1 is in a strong VG+ condition, meaning to a collector that under normal room lighting, the vinyl looks nearly unplayed, save for one or two LIGHT marks that you can detect with difficulty. There is a light scratch on "Who Are The Brain Police" which may cause some ticking, or maybe a pop. It's not feelable with the fingertip, but it does traverse the grooves in a way that makes me suspicious, since I can't test it for you this year. Side 2 is in a wonderful VG++ condition, meaning that it looks completely unplayed under normal room light. But there are a stray angel hair line or two under a bright bulb. In this case, Side 2 would easily qualify as being in Near Mint condition, save for just ONE light scratch, and that one is in the trail-off area, which doesn't come into contact with the playing grooves. It's that good.
Record 2 is an original first pressing, with the label's concentric ring closer to the playhole. The labels don't mention the Sunset Boulevard address in the bottom perimeter print. Side 1 is also an easy VG++. It looks unplayed in normal room light, but several short and extremely light scratches appear under close scrutiny with the bare bulb. Side 2 is in a strong VG+ condition. If you look very closely, and for a few seconds, you will be able to see some very light angel hair scratches on the vinyl. Under a bare bulb, you'll see them more prominently if you didn't find them to begin with. They're faint!
Side 1 has "RE-4" in the trail-off.
Side 2 has "REV-RE-4."
Side 3 has "REV-RE-1"
Side 4 has "REV RE-1"
All four labels are completely clean and decent. No writing, no dirt, no stickers or residue. Record 1's labels have no spindle marks, although Record 2's labels do. Nothing nasty-looking though. You can show them to your parents. Just don't play it for them.
Both company Verve sleeves are present, and they're in pretty good condition. They each are flat with minimal wrinkling. Each have small splits at the bottom seams, but no big deal.
The cover is moderately worn. There is moderate to heavy ringwear on front and back. There is moderate to heavy shelfwear to the tops and bottom seams. The second bottom seam pocket has split about two inches. The inside gatefold is completely intact, but the slick has yellowed. There is also light to moderate dirt that has collected. The inside gatefold seam is strong and completely intact. Nobody left any money in the pockets. I checked. This is a functional cover, but an upgrade to match the quality LP's would be appreciated.
