This is my sealed (unopened) spare copy of Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Inside the Pleasuredome. Now long out of print and very rare this seriously one of the best Box Set releases of the last decade. Limited to just 2,000 copies it is how other box sets should be done. Full of unreleased material it comprises......
1. “Come Inside” – A unique flipbook animation of Lo Cole’s classic artwork. [Catalogued at NEAT 3.]
2. Tumbometer Nine – A Zang Tuum Tumb info sheet detailing everything you’ll find Inside The Pleasuredome, where it came from and why it’s there.
3. “And Suddenly There Came A Zang!” – The Art of Frankie Goes To Hollywood. A stunning 48-page case-bound hardback book celebrating and exploring the artwork of Welcome To The Pleasuredome, with contributions from Paul Morley, designer David Smart, illustrators Lo Cole and Anne Yvonne Gilbert and photographers John Stoddart, Steve Rumney, AJ Barratt and Peter Ashworth. [Zanglette No. 2, ZTAS 31.]
4. “Brothers and Sisters” – The DVD. Compiling the Pleasuredome videos – Relax, Two Tribes, The Power of Love and Welcome To The Pleasuredome by directors Godley & Creme, Bernard Rose and David Mallett – and 5.1 surround sound audio mixes of the classic singles and album tracks. [Catalogued at NEAT 2.] This is a double-sided disc with NTSC region 0 on one side and PAL region 0 on the other. DVD packaged in a digipack with clear CD tray.
5. “Cowboys and Indians” – The Alternate Tracks. A four-track EP that explores the making of Frankie’s second single, with three previously unreleased takes of Two Tribes plus one of WAR [10” vinyl in die-cut sleeve – 10 ZTAS 4c/d]
6. “Lovers and Haters” – The Studio Demos. A four-track EP tracing the story of two of the earliest tracks recorded for Welcome To The Pleasuredome, with two previously-unreleased takes of Relax and two previously-unreleased versions of The Only Star In Heaven. [10" vinyl in die-cut sleeve 10 ZTAS 4a/b]
7. “Doctors and Nurses” – The Remixes. A pairing of the third 12” mix of War! (which went on to become the Art of Noise track, Oobly) with an alternate 12” version of Welcome To The Pleasuredome, both previously unreleased. [10” vinyl in die-cut sleeve 10 ZTAS 4e/f]
8. “Suck It Up” – The Relax Cassette. A 13-track, C90 remix anthology, from the 16-minute Sex Mix to Trevor Horn’s New York Mix via six previously unreleased versions. [A cassette-only Inside The Pleasuredome companion piece with accompanying digital download, catalogue number CTIS 104.]
9. “Welcome To The Pleasuredome” – The 2014 Vinyl Edition. The original 16-track album, remastered at Sarm Studios by Trevor Horn and his 2014 THeam, pressed on 180g audiophile vinyl and packaged in a unique die-cut sleeve designed to frame one of three accompanying prints by original Pleasuredome sleeve artist, Lo Cole. [Catalogued at IQ1000]

Condition: Sealed and Mint. Exactly as it arrived. Never been opened. With original back sheet. The photograph does not do the box justice, It is pristine, not blotchy like the photo looks.

Sadly I am under orders to clear out some space in our house as we will be downsizing in a year or so. So a lot of my record collection will have to go. I will try to describe the vinyl / CDs accurately as there are several categories. 1) Boxed in original packaging from supplier. I haven't even removed the tape or cracked open the mailer yet. As good as it gets.... 2) Sealed - records are as supplied. The wrap has never been opened. Next best thing to Boxed.... 3) Not sealed but unplayed - Many manufacturers are now delivering their records unwrapped to cut down on plastic usage and in some cases my records / box sets have been signed and the wrap has been removed to sign the box / record. 4) Not sealed and played - The records have been played on my Rega system, currently a Rega RP10 with Apheta2 MC cartridge. I have always looked after my records, I have cleaned every record that I have ever played on a decent record cleaner, the latest of which I have is the absolute top of the range £2.5K Hannl Aragon from Germany. I have kept a record of when each vinyl was cleaned, so somewhere in the advert it will say something like "Cleaned April 2016" if the record has been played recently.
EVERY opened and played record in my collection is now in either a Mobile Fidelity original master sleeve or Nagaoka 102 sleeve the Japanese equivalent which are static free / scratch free. Some vinyl came with it's own static inner, but if it was a generic paper or card inner I put the record in a mobile fidelity sleeve instead. The Vinyl is now safely stored next to the original inner.
I have also kept a record of where and when I bought a record for the last 6 years, so if I have the detail I will tell you the provenance of the vinyl you are buying. If the vinyl or box set is a limited numbered edition I will also tell you what number it is if that number is viewable without breaking a seal.
To do things properly I will only be using quality packaging materials. Smaller parcels of 1 to about 5 records and small box sets will use the original MusicMax Twist mailers with bubble wrap and corner protectors where possible or necessary. Larger Box Sets or multiple record purchases that are too big for the MusicMax Twist mailers will use the Defenda Mailing box with Bubble wrap. I am not a record selling business, I am dismantling my collection in my spare time but I will aim to get all purchases out as quickly as I can, as safely wrapped as possible with a decent courier. Every item will be tracked and need to be signed for.
All items come from a smoke free home and have been stored as perfectly as possible. Due to my main business requirements (Cine Film) we have full air conditioning at home, so the records will have had quite a pleasant time of it....
