Sophomoric garage mania purportedly slung by anonymous high-brow 'artists'. Stereo variation (so it says) of MONSTER SOUNDS AND DANCE MUSIC / SHOCK! TERROR! FEAR! by Frankie Stein & His Ghouls, released 1965 on the Power Records imprint (S 339). Regardless of their origins--those of shamed A-listers slumming for chops on kiddie rock'n'roll sessions--you gotta admit, the Frankie Stein records were pretty damn good. Never mind the novelty angle, the participants had nothing to be ashamed of. It makes sense that Sun Ra and Duane Eddy MAY HAVE played here because it sounds grizzlier than most exploitation fare. Anyway, any context of selling out in the 60's is lost when cave rock continues to lurk through film and commercials. It's cool, it's trash, shut up already.
