Franklin Mint Greatest Big Band Records

 

Up for auction is an incomplete set of vinyl LP records called The Greatest Recordings of the Big Band Era.  This collection was issued by the Franklin Mint in 1981 to create the most complete collection of Big band recordings issued in one set.  Many of the recordings have been unavailable for years; others are hard to find recordings of early radio broadcasts while others only exist on 78’s.  Artists represented include Glenn miller, Harry James, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey and many more.

 

Each hardbound album holds 2 LP records and a detailed booklet describing the artists and their music.  The records were produced to the highest standards and pressed into archive quality red vinyl.

 

The records are in mint condition and include records 1-48, stored in 24 individual boxes.  The complete collection has 100 records.

 

This will ship by USPS Media rate in two 23 pound boxes.
