ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This handsome 2LP set from Club National du Disque (CND 51-52, French pressing, blue / silver label, mono) features exalted readings of the lion’s share of Bach’s Violin Concertos.
It should be noted that these performances do not appear on the CND label as the result of a licensing agreement, but were made specifically for Club National du Disque.
Moreover, the boast the refined artistry of two remarkable violinists: Monqiue Frasca-Colombier and Liliane Garnier, both ably abetted by the veteran Paul Kuentz and his eponymous Chamber Orchestra.

Concerto for Violin, Strings, and Continuo No. 1 in A minor BWV 1041

The interior panels of the gatefold jacket contain superlative liner notes by Olivier Alain, printed in French only. The striking cover art is uncredited.
CONDITION – PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is NM-. There is light wear and aging. However, there are no seamsplits, bends, owners’ markings, or other defects, and the album remains solid, bright, and attractive – overall, a fine collector’s copy.
The condition of the 2 LPs is near-MINT. Although the surfaces are not absolutely silent (and thus I have rated it NM vs. MINT) these are fine copies and playback is superb. If you must have flawless surfaces, then please do not buy this set – these rate as NM collector's copies.
PLEASE NOTE:
All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve. The images I've provided are of the actual item you are potentially bidding on - these are not stock images or images I've taken from other sites. Bid with confidence!
