Description
The Grumbleweeds on Philips Lp 1972
Late Freakbeat / Pop psych Rarity.
Side one. Stranger in a strange land / She / my sweet lord / Up in the sky / sad to say / Dying to live.
Side two. Teknikolor Dreem / Fiona mcLaughlan / So sweet netta / Tiffany / Never before / Lady.
Not a madcap antic or joke in sight the Grumbleweeds play it completely straight.
A side is a bit Poppy. but the b side is a cornucopia of Acid guitar, Fuzz, feedback etc.
Chris Spedding is reputed to be doing some of the intricate guitar work, and to be fair to the band not a bad effort. if not 3 years too late.
Fiona Mclaughlin is a well structured Pop Psych tune with a great melody, Never Before has a Fuzz tone to it, and was released on Major Minor now being sought after. Well done lads, but dont give up your day jobs.
.
Back sleeve clear, disc is in excellent shape. Nice rare item in great shape.
