Description
Elektra EK:-248, “Tear Down the Walls” with Fred Neil and Vince Martin; from 1964. This is the original mono guitar-player pressing. The vinyl plays at VG++ with very little background sound. The heavy laminated jacket has solid seams all around with no laminate breaks; corners are square; the jacket has no bends, writing, or stamps; there is a bit of flaring on the open end with some fraying toward the bottom front. Songs are “I Know You Rider”, “Red Flowers”, “Tear Down the Walls”, “Weary Blues”, “Toy Balloon”, “Baby”, “Morning Dew”, “I’m a Drifter”, “Linin’ Track”, “Wild Child in a World of Trouble”, “Dade County Jail”, “I Got ‘Em”, and “Lonesome Valley”. This is a hugely successful attempt to take the Village folk idiom to a land of creativity then unknown. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
