Freddie King "Getting Ready" 1971 Shelter Records Blues LP SHE-8905
Freddie King was one of the most influential blues guitarists ever.  This is the first of three records  he made for Leon Russell's Shelter label.  King's powerful vocals and ferocious electric guitar are  supported by an ace backing band that included Russell, Don Nix, "Duck" Dunn, Don Preston and  Chuck Blackwell.  Recorded at the famous Chess Studios in Chicago, October 1970.
The songs, by Russell, Nix, legendary blues artists and others, are consistently good.  This is a great record!
Condition: Record and Jacket VG+.  Record play-tested, plays fine with no skips or pops. Jacket cover has a couple of small coffee (?) stains, otherwise clean.  Light ring wear on reverse side. Please see photos and email with any questions.
