Description

Freddie King, Getting Ready... LP, Shelter SHE-8905, VG++/NM.   Rare original US-issued Shelter vinyl with the large 'S' in the logo - before it was obscured with a black bar.

  • Vinyl is in great VG++ condition.  Has a single surface scratch on 'Key To The Highway' (Side One, Song 5) that shouldn't affect play.  Full black gloss.   No spindle tracks.  There is a factory error on the Side 2 label - it was double stamped with the lettering (see photo).
  • The cover is in great near-mint condition.  No writing, splits or tears.  No UPC symbol.  Sharp corners.
  • No Reserve!

 This is a serious keeper.  A great copy of a rare blues record with an even more rare, early-edition, Shelter label with the 'S' shown in an upside down-like Superman logo. Shelter, of course, soon had to issue all of their LPs with an altered label.  

My shipping rates for LPs & 12”s are:

  • USA: $4.00 for the first LP/12”; $0.50 per additional for economy shipping.  Shipping upgrades are available upon buyers request at a higher rate.  Please email me about any shipping changes prior to payment so that I can send a correct invoice.
  • Canada: $16.00 for the first LP/12”; $4.00 per additional
  • All other international destinations: $18.00 for the first LP/12”; $4.00 per additional
As we know, grading used records, especially one that is several decades old, is quite subjective.  I grade my records to the best of my ability.  I will accept returns within 14 days for a refund of the purchase price if this item is not as described.  Buyer to pay for return shipping.  Please email me right away if a problem emerges.
