Freddie Roach on Blue Note 4168

 

This is the rare deep-groove Van Gelder-stamped mono “P”-pressing of Freddie Roach “Brown Sugar” on the New York USA labels of Blue Note BLP 4168.  The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.  The coated New York 23 cover is also in exceptional condition – bright and clean throughout – with a 2” crease at the top right corner; “Review Copy” stamped at the top of the back slick.  Illustrated inner sleeve is included.
