Up for sale is a copy of Free’s Tons Of Sobs 1969 First Vinyl Pressing.
This is Free’s first album release and as such is very rare with this pink eye label, the matrix A2/B2, remained, but quite early on the label changed to the block I design, making these earlier labels more sought after.
The vinyl is in VG plus condition, and plays without any concerns, but it is 50 years old and therefore it has the odd mark, but not to the extent of interfering with the playback.
The cover is another story and is only in VG- condition, I have had this in my collection for a number of years in another original sleeve, but this is the original sleeve the vinyl came in. In any event the sleeve is easily replaceable but this vinyl isn’t.
Due to the overall condition of the sleeve I’m going to start this with a low opening bid.
