Description

Nice copy of Free's debut from 1968 on the pink 'eye' Island label, catalogue no.ILPS 9089. This copy is not without its faults, but it is certainly one of the better ones I have come across. Matrices are A2/B2.

Gatefold sleeve - VG overall because of some tape residue around some of the edges (see photos). This could be removed but I don't want to try! Otherwise the cover is in good shape, free(!) from tears or creases. The spine is Excellent - see photos.

Labels - VG because of a small stain on each one. Quite a bit of spindlewear. Otherwise very clean & bright.

Vinyl - visually VG +. Light hairlines but no scratches. The vinyl is reassuringly heavyweight & lies nice & flat on the turntable. Side 1 play grade is Ex - (minus) - light crackle only. Side 2 play grade is VG + (there is a light click at the start of Track 1).

All records are from my own personal collection. I am not a dealer but I have been collecting records for over 40 years. Occasionally I have excess items to sell off, all of which have been carefully play-tested. I use a Sansui SR-222 Mk 2 turntable, with an SME headshell and an Ortofon NF 15E Mk 2 cartridge. The tracking weight used is a very light 0.75 grams, which will show up any jumps.

I use the Record Collector grading system, and I try to slightly under-grade wherever possible to avoid disappointment. I always give a refund if the buyer is not completely satisfied. Please contact me if there are any problems, rather than leaving negative feedback (I haven’t had any so far!).

Postage to the UK is £2.50, with £1.00 for each extra record.

Postage to Europe is £4.50, with £1.50 for each extra record.

Postage to the rest of the world is £8.00, with £2.00 for each extra record.

Payment is normally by PayPal, but I will accept cheques from UK bidders.

All items are sent in cardboard envelopes, with at least 1 stiffener. Records will be placed outside the sleeve in a new polylined inner to avoid damage to the sleeve.
