Description

The Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) was the driving force behind the release of this album, and they enlisted Alan Lomax and Guy Caravan to assist in producing the account of civil rights movements and actions taking place in late 1961 in Albany, Georgia.  It includes hymms, interviews, spoken word, and sermons, and uniquely documents a pivotal time in the 60's civil rights movements and black history in the United States.  It includes the sermon "The Eagle Stirreth Her Nest" by the Reverend Ben Gay.


Lp is VG with light scratches, the worst of which is shown in the pics above.  Playback is enjoyable with slight surface noise that you'd expect from a record of this age. 

Cover is VG with some seam splitting, the worst being a ~ 2 inch split on the top. 


Record comes in new dust sleeve, jacket will be in new poly sleeve.
