This lovely LP – in a Red Stereo jacket – from Deutsche Grammophon (SLPEM 136 211, AH tulip label, stereo, original inner sleeve included) features conductor Ferenc Fricsay and the
Radio-Symphonie-Orchester Berlin in a captivating album of ballet scores, all sumptuously recorded in the rich acoustics of Jesus Christus-Kirche, Berlin, on 28 January 1960.
The exact contents are as follows:
Charles Gounod: Ballet Music for Faust
Giuseppe Verdi: Ballet Music for Aïda
Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Polonaise and Waltz, from Eugen Onegin Op. 66
Giuseppe Verdi: Ballet Music for Otello
There are super liner notes (uncredited) on the reverse side of the jacket, printed in English, German, and French. The lovely cover photo is similarly uncredited.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is VERY GOOD. There is edgewear, more so at corners, as well as a small nick to the front panel. However, there are no bends, seamsplits, owners’ markings, or other defects and the album remains solid, bright, glossy, and highly attractive – overall, a very good collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is EXCELLENT. Although the surfaces are not perfectly silent, really this is a fine copy and playback is superb, close to NM. If you must have a flawless or NM copy, then please do not buy this LP. Overall, rates as an excellent collector's copy.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
