Charlie Byrd  was an early pioneer in the integration of guitar into the bop form of jazz. Offered is the 1st Edition Mono Pressing Blues for Night People from 1957, mastered by the reknown Rudy Van Gelder,? whose classic "RVG" stamp appears in the dead wax of both sides (please see the full dead wax matrix listed below)

Charlie burst upon the jazz scene with his debut release in early 1957, and Blues for Night People was released in August, a few months later.

The LP is in superb investment-grade EX+ condition:

THE VINYL -  EX+ : This beautiful record is lightly played with some evidence of spindlewear, and both sides of the LP surface retain all of their original gloss. 

Present are 2 light and shallow hairline marks, one on each side.  I did a playgrade on these, and heard no audible effect from them.
 
Bright, undamaged, Silver and Red Savoy labels (please see photos). 
                                                     
The record shows exceptional care and handling, and the mono playback, mastered by the fabulous Rudy Van Gelder, is impressive.





THE COVER -     EX+ :  Please see photos / laminated / well-stored with some minor scuffing / some wrinkling to the top right corner on the back side / bright colors / all of the seams, including the spine, are intact / no writing, paper loss, paper tears, dirt, or stains.    


We have placed both the cover and the LP into separate, protective plastic sleeves.
