Description
For sale is Fugees (Refugee Camp) The Score, originally released in 1996 as a double album set by Ruffhouse Records, in association with Sony Music Entertainment, and manufactured by Columbia Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are etched the matrix numbers for the four sides 2-A/2-A/2-A/2-A, indicating a very early stamper was used to make this first edition. I bought this record new, professionally cleaned them on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put the records into two MFSL archival inner sleeves. This preserves the integrity of the vinyl and any insert(s) or original inner sleeve(s) that may have come with the release. These inner sleeves are graded between VG+ and Excellent because of some bent and wrinkled corners along with a little ring wear. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint Minus because of a faint sleeve mark on Side D. The cover is graded as VG+ because of ring wear, corner blunts, a creased corner and stress cracks along the spine and the top and bottom seam. The spine has color loss at the corners and in a few spots in the middle from those blunts and stress cracks. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I bought it and still has a lot of life yet. This original first edition has become very rare and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. This would make a great addition to a anyone's collection. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
