Fungus - Premonitions ULTRA RARE Promo LP UK psychedelic rock 1973 Maximum Music Fun 1A Fun 1B
This is one of the rarest records to find ever, it was never officially released and all that remains is a few promos. The record was given to my dad in the early 70's and it's been in my household ever since, This is a rare review I found:
Fungus issued this one demo album, released in a plain white sleeve. It's about 38 minutes long and the music is a mix of progressive rock and electronic oriented music. Fungus is post Second Hand / Chillum and pre-Seventh Wave - and the music seems to be the transition from one style to the other. It's an orchestral oriented progressive rock, with long instrumental electronic journeys. A ridiculously rare artefact that is near impossible to find.
I've just listened to the record in full and it is truly amazing, you can hear influences of Pink floyd, Beatles, Yes, Can etc, It even sounds like it inspired Tame Impala in places:) The record has a few scratches (see pics) but plays through with no jumps, there is a small amount of clicking in one section of a song on side A and a larger section on a song on side B, overall it sounds great though and is a fine example of an impossible to find lost gem.
